There are lots of ways I stay busy. Mainly, I like sharing food and sharing stories.
I work in the restaurant industry, at a bakery cafe, and I volunteer at an urban cooking program. And I’m working on a writing project that examines how we integrate food into our lives ritually and psychologically. I think about questions like: what other habits, values, and people are fed by the food choices we make? What are the larger structures that get nourished when we nourish ourselves in particular ways?
This summer I’ll be doing a workshare at a CSA out in Dover, Mass, and will hopefully get some good posts in about learning how to harvest and a bit more about farming. Stay tuned!
